Dutch Barge conversions
This is a Dutch barge that our carpenters transformed with a full restoration a few years ago at Port Medway Marina in Kent. Richard had owned the barge for over 38 years and over that time had raised a family and the barge had undergone a couple of DIY conversions to make the barge more functional for the growing family.
Now the family has left he felt that the barge needed converting to a more traditional look. We were commissioned to undertake a full conversion to a high standard using the best materials and to assist with design as the project grew.
Once completed the barge was surveyed and passed with flying colours, the surveyor played us a lovely compliment saying it was the highest standard conversion that he had seen in a long time. Praise indeed as he surveys a lot of expensive barges. This barge is now up for sale in London and we are in talks about his next project.
